 Don't
|

- Don't
complain to others about it.
- Don't
bring it up unless it's affecting your work
or driving customers away.
If not, get over it and get on with it!
- Don't
be sarcastic, even in joking.
"Hey,
Dan, if you can hear me above the sound of your
radio, could you turn it down?"
- Don't
react to it publicly
Example:
"Hey gang, sounds like our personal
disc jockey is at it again. Any requests?"

|
Do
|
- Get him alone.
- Describe the irritation.
Example: "Dan, I know you enjoy listening
to music during the day, but sometimes the volume
gets pretty high."
- Explain the problems it causes.
Example: "And that background noise makes
it hard for me to concentrate on my work."
- Ask for what you need.
Example: "Can you keep the volume down,
please? Thanks."
